- “Our daughter Hannah has been a patient of Dr. Peljovich for almost 16 years. She saw him for the first time shortly after her birth. I remember sitting in the exam room with Hannah in my arms as a newborn, being terrified of what was to come. Dr. Peljovich being a parent, understood my anxiety and was reassuring in everything he explained to us. He completed 3 surgical procedures on her hands and continued to follow her progress and growth for many years. Last summer, Dr. Peljovich told Hannah that she was pretty much done and unless she wanted him to tweak something, she had officially graduated. It was a joyous and sad appointment all at the same time. Our daughter is amazingly functional and happy, and we never regretted our decision to allow Dr. Peljovich treat her. - “I wanted to share my thoughts as I was driving home yesterday evening after spending a lovely Easter Day with my family. I had just spent the day cooking, cleaning up dishes, making Easter crafts and even playing basketball with my 12 yr old Grandtwins without once thinking about my right hand! The only discomfort I ever noticed was in the opposite thumb (catching the basketball) which still needs the surgery. It was a great day! When I got home and sat down to relax I became very aware of the gift I had received from everyone at the Hand and Upper Extremity Center of Georgia. It was a tough few months but the outcome was well worth it! Please share this with Dr. Lourie, the ortho techs, X-ray Techs and the OT's. I want them all to know just how much I appreciate everything that was done to help me get through this. The Hand and Upper Extremity Center is a well oiled machine from the moment you make your first phone call for a consultation to scheduling in the Rehab Department. - “I think Dr. Peljovich is the most amazing Doctor! My daughter has been a patient of his for years and after 3 elbow surgeries, he has always been a constant for me and my daughter. He spends time with her, talks her through things and always explains what he recommends is the best course of action. She was a gymnast and eventually had to quit which was very difficult for her. - “After a terrible head-on collision, the surgeon at AMC who treated me in the trauma room (whom I know personally, as it turns out), insisted I see Dr. Lourie. Dr. Lourie squeezed me in, and we scheduled the first of four surgeries to rebuild my wrist. He was extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and I felt reassured that I was getting the best care.
